Sprinkled with fairy dust

Life is one beautiful trip.

Don't you just love it when things go your way? Griffin and Shannon (and Scooter) drove me to the airport, and there was no traffic on the way out of the city. I told Griffin that I didn't know where I was staying that night or with whom. Joelle's cousin, somewhere in Orange County?

Once at the airport, I was magically waved through security, and waltzed through the metal detector, and there was no one in line in front of me. While I was waiting in line to board, I could see the crew loading our luggage onto the plane. It was so reassuring to see that my big ol'duffle bag (with our camping gear) was making the flight.

The big blue one with the Vera Bradley tag. Woo hoo!
Then, I was actually able to sleep on the flight. Apparently I dozed off reading and awoke with my mouth wide open. Oh good gravy, was I snoring? A quick check revealed that, at least, I wasn't drooling.

When I landed in Dallas (Thankfully, Love Field) the gate for the connecting flight was close by. I had envisioned running across the airport to make our connecting flight, but I found Joelle in just a few minutes. I love airport greetings. Although we message several times a week, Jo and I had not seen each other since last year. Big Big Happy Hugs.

Already having fun

Even our seat mate was lovely. It could be because he started drinking heavily as soon as we took off. I hope that has nothing to do with being seated next to us.

We are so blessed that Joelle's lovely cousin Christina and her sweetheart Mark offered to pick us up from the airport and have us spend the first night with them.

Where are we? I don't know, but it is beautiful here.

This is where we woke up this morning.
Now we dash off to pick up the van!
